SPPF is committed to advancing reading, math and science literacy and closing the achievement gap for children in South St Petersburg, FL.
We focus on this "at-risk" community, where only 23% of students attending community schools are typically reading at or above grade level in 3rd grade. Our flagship is the M.A.S.T.R. Kids Summer Program (Math, Art, Science, Technology and Reading). In this literacy + STEAM program, SPPF has demonstrated an ability to eliminate summer learning loss for 80% of students attending our program and actually drive achievement gains in Reading and Math for a majority of students. M.A.S.T.R. Kids of today are the leaders of tomorrow!
