Smith Mountain Lake Marine Volunteer Fire Rescue is an all‑volunteer marine fire and rescue organization dedicated to protecting people, property and navigation safety on Smith Mountain Lake. It responds to boat and lake incidents, provides dive/recovery and emergency medical support, and runs fire‑prevention and boating‑safety outreach while supporting land‑based agencies across neighboring counties.
