THEIR MISSION:
New Image Youth Center is to change the path of at-risk children through education and example. One of the longest-serving youth organizations in the Parramore community, we provide a range of services to students in grades K-12, at no cost to participants.
Our Impact
over 3 years ago — New Image Youth Center Mobile Activity Bus
Our mobile program, Bringing Our Good to Your Hood, was launched to support neighborhoods that lack brick-and-mortar youth centers and to bring our unique mix of fun, enriching, and therapeutic activities to more youth. We are continuing to see the impact of our program with 67% of our overall participants engaging in programing on a consistent basis. We have continued to exceed our own expectations in terms of reaching and repeatedly engaging with youth while successfully establishing relationships with the youth and families. We have also been able to provide 89 resources to participants and their families for housing assistance, financial literacy, food resources, educational opportunities and various community events in 2023. The NIYC Mobile Bus now visits multiple sites each week.
