Friends of Man is a charitable organization serving individuals, children and families. Friends of Man uses 100% of donations for charitable purposes, with no money taken out of donations for administrative costs and expenses, which are paid for by the volunteers. There are no salaries! Friends of Man receives applications from third party professionals, such as social workers, teachers, clergy, etc. and assists more than 2,000 people per year.
Applications for assistance from Friends of Man are submitted by a professional on behalf of the applicant. Referring professionals can be social workers, health care professionals, clergy, teachers, etc. The applications are screened by Friends of Man volunteers, questions asked, documentation obtained, then the case is presented to the disbursement committee to determine whether Friends of Man can assist and how much money is approved.
If approved, the vendor bills Friends of Man after the item or service after the item or service has been delivered to the applicant. Friends of Man pays the vendor directly.
