Dear Elana and JFF staff, It has been four months since our son Milo joined our lives. We cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel every day for his presence. And we know that his existence could not have come to be without you, Elana, and everyone at JFF, who planted the seed (pun intended 😆) in our minds of what would become our Milo. After our eldest was born we knew that we wanted another child, but we struggled. After two unsuccessful rounds of IVF and a painful miscarriage, we were depressed, desperate and exhausted. We started to lose hope. As we began exploring adoption, the weight of the process, the time frame, and the financial burden were weighing heavy on us. One phone conversation with Elana changed our lives. Embryo donation. Was our ray of light. We were excited again. And now we are here, holding our four months old we named Milo, also known as Smilo, because of the joy to he brings everyone around him with his big smiles and happy personality. We are beside ourselves with happiness and the feeling that our journey has finally come to completion in the best way possible. Our lives are no longer on hold! So thank you for everything you have done for us! From financial support, to a pop-up pregnancy loss support group. From the constant check-ins, to the fertility buddy program.
