Frederick Friends of Our County Animal Shelter (FFOCAS) supports and facilitates efforts by Frederick County Animal Control to save the homeless pets of Frederick County (FCAC). We help FCAC treat and rehabilitate shelter pets with medical and behavioral needs; enrich the shelter environment and reduce stress for shelter pets; recruit volunteers, foster care providers, and rescue partners for harder-to-place animals; promote spay/neuter; and help families keep their pets or safely rehome them, allowing shelter staff to devote limited resources to fewer pets.
