Pledge to make a difference, together.
Since opening in 1976, Phoenix Place has provided housing, with priority for persons in need, from shelters, from community agencies, and from an active waiting list of 200 people. The facility offers a number of resources to its residents, which include counselling, help with addiction management, referral to other agencies, and a food bank. Phoenix Place has a number of collaborative relationships with agencies such as Sojourn House, CAMH, St. Christopher House, and Culture Link.
Besides providing an attractive and well-managed building, Phoenix Place offers residents housing stability while they acquire new skills or more effectively manage and improve their lives. Stability of housing is a result of several policies put in place by the Board and practised by management.
Phoenix place is currently adding 21 new units, and retrofitting its 11-storey tower to provide a more comfortable and energy-efficient building.
