Cool Aid Society operates under the mandate to provide an opportunity for youth to build protective factors that help increase their resiliency;to provide a variety of activities for the youth to participate in; to encourage better relationships between youth, parents and the community; and to act as a liaison between youth and community agencies and services.
This mandate guides the centres to offer activities that will assist youth in their development from a child to a teen to an adult, in other words helping youth reach new horizons (Vision Statement). The target population is youth in grades 1 to 12. There are no restrictions, such as child welfare status, family unit or economic level, to participate in the activities and programs of the centres. Our programs are offered free of charge. The programs that we offer include children after school program, tween drop-in, teen drop-in and summer program.
