Pledge to make a difference, together.
The Festival Chorus is an amateur community chorus of 60-80 singers founded in 1959 for the Handel-Purcell Festival. Over the years the chorus has expanded its expertise and repertoire, presenting major works with professional soloists and orchestra. Under Artistic Director, Mel Kirby, the chorus continues to expand an ever widening range of choral experiences reflecting a burgeoning interest in performing world music in their original languages. The Festival Chorus have enjoyed some spectacular musical partnerships over the years and shared the stage with the Foothills Brass, Alan Monk, and Kronos Quartet among others, and helped to launch the career of many a young singer.
