Our Mission

Founded in 1972, WIAM is a volunteer-based, charitable organization working to create awareness on world issues.

With a focus on the media and performing arts, WIAM's programs are designed to engage citizens of all ages. It is our conviction at WIAM that education through the arts is the most powerful and effective method of public engagement. Central to our mission is to work together with Canadian artists and with organizations involved in human rights, social justice and the environment to further public education on issues that concern our global communities.
