Pledge to make a difference, together.
Burns Memorial Fund for Children is a charitable foundation established by Senator Patrick Burns, a Calgary pioneer and philanthropist. The Fund provides practical assistance to low-income families, as well as grants to youth-serving organizations. We support high school students to stay in school and graduate; help families with the costs of school fees, tutoring, recreation programs, eyeglasses, medications and other necessities; cover dental and orthodontic treatment for children and youth; and fund Calgary organizations focused on the health, education and recreation needs of low-income children.
Our foundation works towards the following goals:
• Each child is healthy, safe and has access to optimal health care
• Each child is ready for school, experiences success in school and graduates
• Each child has the opportunity to participate in recreational activities which help them to discover their talents and develop their full potential
