Incorporated in 1980, the DFCC has been serving Durham Region for over 25 years.
Funds raised through the DFCC’s Seeds of Hope campaign assist high-risk children and youth establish the necessary building blocks to improve their life opportunities and develop healthier attitudes and behaviours to reduce their risk of victimization and/or being in conflict with the law. Campaign supported activities include our Connecting Kids to Counselling and Connecting Kids to Their Community initiatives.
DFCC serves thousands of children, youth, and families each year, and our work often puts the agency front and centre with issues of domestic violence, poverty, addiction and children's mental health issues.
