Establishing, monitoring and supporting long-term relationships between children and youth and reliable, caring volunteers. Big Brothers Big Sisters makes it possible for targeted children and youth to develop in the following areas:

• Communication • Problem-solving and decision-making • Self-esteem and self-confidence • Anger Management • Initiating and maintaining relationships with peers, family members, teachers and others • Career and education planning

For many children and youth, the opportunity to spend time talking with trusting and trustworthy adults who are willing to share life lessons and experiences can help them build self-confidence and learn to make good decisions about their lives and their futures.
