Pledge to make a difference, together.
Founded in 1988, St. Joseph Immigrant Women’s Centre is an equality seeking, anti-racist, charitable organization dedicated to the social, political and economic inclusion of refugee and immigrant women in a just and supportive Canadian society.
Sharing in the movement towards empowerment and independence, the Centre is committed to enabling refugee and immigrant women to discover and build their new futures. The Centre provides essential services including labour market training and support, language and driving instruction, educational funding, and health services for women and their families. Through collective learning, critical thinking and political awareness, the Centre works to give newcomers to Canada the skills and support they need to become active participants in their local communities, and empowered citizens working towards the improvement of Canadian society.
