Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton is part of an international, not-for-profit organization that works in partnership with families in need to provide them decent, affordable housing. Our local affiliate (of Habitat for Humanity Canada) started to take shape in August 1989 and was incorporated in 1993.
The organization follows the principles and guidelines developed by HFH International, but is locally managed and controlled by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors from the community.
Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton built its first home in 1994. To-date we have built 14 homes in Sarnia and Lambton County. More important, these houses are home to 17 adults and 41 children.
