Actua is a national registered charity with a 20-year track record of success in bringing science, engineering and technology to life for more than 3 million Canadian youth.
Through our growing network of members (affiliated with universities and/or community colleges), we deliver summer camp programs, in-school workshops, science clubs and other outreach activities to over 225,000 youth per year in more than 500 communities.
Actua’s programs inspire youth to discover and explore science applications in every day life. Youth experience fun, hands-on activities that stimulate creativity and critical thinking.
Actua is a leader in engaging youth who are not already turned on to science or who otherwise would have limited opportunities to discover the world of science. We offer specialized programming for girls and Aboriginal youth and make it a priority to reach youth in rural and remote communities as well as inner city areas so that every child can be inspired by science.
