Since 1984,WISH has been providing caring, non-judgmental frontline services to some of our community's most marginalized women through our drop-in centre, located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
At WISH, sex-working women can find:
- An overnight safe haven - Hot, nutritious meals and healthy snacks - Nursing care - Literacy and learning activities - Supported employment programming - Aboriginal cultural programming - Referrals to detox, housing and other supports
All services are offered without judgment. Whether a sex-working woman wants support in lessening her reliance on sex work or whether she just needs a few hours of respite from the street, she will be welcome at WISH.
