Our Mission

A leading force in the Western Canadian theatre community, Electric Co creates original work rich in spectacle and adventurous in form, strong in narrative and accessible to a diverse audience.

A bit about our history: The company was originally formed as a collective in 1996 by Kim Collier, David Hudgins, Jonathon Young and Kevin Kerr, who met while training at Vancouver’s Studio 58. With a growing body of work, Electric Company has created 17 mainstage productions, toured ten times times (Canada, USA, UK), written two screenplays, and won the first Alcan Performing Arts Award (Theatre 2001). Over its history, he company has been consistently cited in major media outlets for matching world-class artistic standards.
