Oak Bay Volunteer Services has been providing direct volunter services to individuals in the Municipality of Oak Bay since 1977.
The help includes volunteer drives with personalized assistance to get to medical, surgery, therapy, financial, legal and other appointments. Drives are also for shopping, errands, recreational purposes or to get to activities. Other services are volunteer visits, walks, daily reassurance phone calls to check on people and arrange emergency medical help if needed, income tax returns, reading, writing, gardening, minor repairs, etc.
The individuals who receive services are seniors, persons with disabilities, persons with low income, young families, and any others in need. Often we help people to find out about other resources and connect them with those.
We are located in the Oak Bay Municipal Hall.
We encourage people to contact us if needing volunteer help or wanting to volunteer. We are grateful for donations.
