Classroom Connections, a registered charity, has been developing innovative educational programs in Canada for over 15 years. As an organization dedicated to learning and youth, Classroom Connections feels a strong responsibility not only to advocate for educational change, but to lead in taking action.
Over 5 years ago we started an initiative to synthesize brain and learning research with the goal of pilot testing new approaches to education. Out of this, the Change it Up! program was born. Change it Up! unites high impact programming, strength-based approaches and hands-on community development in a unique and holistic combination. Initial pilot projects have been in partnership with Aboriginal communities, where the need for alternative approaches is critical.
