Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) is a leading international non-profit that is bringing ICT and workforce skills to marginalized communities in Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. The unique DOT youth-led model captures the enthusiasm and digital talents of young university and college graduates who are trained to deliver DOT programming in their communities. DOT serves as a bridge in the school-to-work transition, providing youth with the market-driven skills, self-confidence and motivation they need to find jobs and start businesses.
DOT invests in young role models, DOT “Interns”, each of whom inspires and mobilizes hundreds more, diffusing sustainable change throughout communities. Placing youth at the center of community development has proven to be cost-effective with high-impact. For over ten years, DOT has been transforming communities by investing in more than 4,000 young role models who have reached over 800,000 of their peers and neighbours.
