Pledge to make a difference, together.
The mission is achieved through strategic plans and partnerships that respond directly to the United Nations Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (2002) and the Active Ageing Framework of the World Health Organization. The philosophy and practice of the Federation is built on the principles of a Life Course Approach to Ageing. Our work practice is based on a team model whereby there is an implicit understanding and belief in the value of partnerships and collaborations that bring mutual benefits and help to shape and influence policies and practice. The Organization: Formed in 1973 to represent the needs of a global ageing population and remains the only membership based organisation that operates across all sectors and comprises government, non-government, private sector, academia and individuals is unique globally in the field of ageing and seniors. Through the NGOs members we represent 45 million older adults in 62 countries
