Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation (MBSPF) is committed to building schools and providing educational opportunities for the impoverished children of Myanmar. Our projects assist the children of Myanmar in finding a way out of poverty and help us practice generosity, compassion and gratitude. Representatives of MBSPF travel to Myanmar each year to visit completed projects and determine suitable locations for the upcoming projects for the current year. We offer our assistance with the support of the villagers, the local Buddhist monks and nuns and the Myanmar government’s education department.
For 2014, MBSPF has committed to building six schools and two are completed already in Thein Kone and Subhyikyin in the rural Mandalay area. A third school is underway in Thit Yone.
During 2013, MBSPF built two schools in Daw Hut Taw and Hta Naung Daing and renovated a third in Daw Hut Taw at a total cost of over $100,000.
