Our Mission

The Centre for Security Governance (CSG) is a non-profit, non-partisan think tank dedicated to the study of security transitions in fragile, failed, and conflict-affected states. A registered charity founded in 2013 and based in Kitchener, Canada, the CSG maintains a global network of research fellows from a variety of backgrounds, including practitioners, research analysts and academics, and partner organizations from the public and private sector. The CSG seeks to enhance the effectiveness of donor assistance and support to security sector and justice reform, as a lynchpin to peacebuilding and statebuilding projects in conflict-affected states. The Centre pursues a vigorous publications program and public outreach effort, including papers and briefs, blog posts, eSeminars, and a research/information depository called the SSR Resource Centre, all of which are freely accessible online.
