Our Mission
HIHS is a nonprofit animal-welfare organization on Hawai‘i Island that works to prevent cruelty to animals, reduce pet overpopulation, and strengthen the human–animal bond. It runs limited-admission shelters and provides adoptions, spay/neuter and community veterinary services, volunteer and outreach programs to support pets and owners across the island.
