Stop CrueltyWe investigate and work with local authorities to enforce laws to protect animals from abuse and neglect. Animal cruelty can be a felony in Louisiana. We actively work to aid in the prosecution and punishment of animal abusers. Restore HealthWhen animals come into the care of Tangi Humane Society, they are first quarantined and receive appropriate veterinary care. We provide a safe, clean environment so they can heal, regain their strength and ultimately find new, loving homes. Loving HomesWhen our rescues are ready for adoption, we host Pet Adoption Days in the community so people can meet and possibly adopt our rescued pets. Applications are taken and carefully considered before any animal is adopted. Teach RespectTangi Humane Society Volunteers speak i

Ranch Hands Rescue is a human and animal sanctuary founded on hope and healing for the long term recovery of trauma victims, special needs animals, and male survivors of sex trafficking. Ranch Hands Rescue specializes in treating more complex trauma cases, such as victims of severe and repetitive abuse and people not making progress in their current treatment programs. We heal critical care animals, then give them a purpose in our counseling program as they participate in Equine and Animal Assisted Counseling (EAAC) alongside specifically selected Licensed Professionals. Bob’s House of Hope is the first safe house in the country for male survivors, 18 and up, of commercial sexual exploitation, also known as sex trafficking. We are the only residential facility to include Ranch Hands Rescue’s innovative Equine and Animal Assisted Counseling intervention.
