Since 1877, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) has been committed to the prevention of cruelty to animals through Education, Law Enforcement, Intervention and Advocacy.

Mercy For Animals is dedicated to preventing cruelty to farmed animals and promoting compassionate food choices and policies.  

K9s For Warriors is dedicated to ending Veteran Suicide through the use of highly trained Service Dogs. With the majority of dogs being rescues, this innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates their collective healing and recovery. Since 2011, K9s has paired over 1,000 Veterans with life-saving Service Dogs and rescued more than 2,000 dogs. To learn more go to k9sforwarriors.org.

The Humane Society Of Rochester And Monroe County for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc. was founded in 1873. Since the 1950's the Society has been known as Lollypop Farm, its name coming from the then popular Shirley Temple song - On the Good Ship Lollipop. Hinsdale Humane Society is a nonprofit animal shelter providing innovative care and adoption services for all animals, including those that are harder to place. We educate, advocate and adopt out pets, acting as a voice for animals who depend on people for their care. We nurture the human-animal bond through community outreach and progressive programming, to help ensure the compassionate treatment of all animals. Our vision is to prevent animal suffering and neglect throughout our community and beyond, and to ensure that all animals in shelters and homes are well cared for and treated with compassion.

The Austin Humane Society's mission is to provide comprehensive, humane, life-saving animal services, transforming the lives of animals and those who love them. The Austin Humane Society (AHS) is an independent nonprofit shelter that offers comprehensive, humane, life-saving animal services. AHS offers innovative, nationally recognized programs that save the lives of thousands of dogs and cats each year. AHS' approach to addressing the critical needs of animals encompasses finding animals homes through adoption, serving animals and people in times of crisis, preventing future homelessness though spay and neuter programs, and engaging the community to be a part of the solution.

The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The Ocean Cleanup has three core approaches to tackling plastic pollution: 1) Clean legacy ocean plastic - Since 2018, The Ocean Cleanup has deployed technologies to remove plastic that has accumulated in ocean garbage patches. It's current system (System 002) has removed more than 225,000 kg of plastic from The Great Pacific Garbage Patch. 2) Turn off the tap: The Ocean Cleanup also develops and deploys Interceptor technologies that prevent plastic from reaching the oceans via rivers, focusing on 1000 rivers that are responsible for 80% of riverine plastic pollution. To date, 19 Interceptor solutions have been deployed across 8 countries. 3) Research: In the process of understanding the problem, The Ocean Cleanup has become a global leader in field research on marine plastic pollution.

Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society - Prevent A Litter was founded in 2007 and is a Registered Charity and recognized as the only Society who does Trap-Neuter-Return, rescue & adoptions for feral cats and kittens of the Comox Valley. We have around 70 active volunteers. As of August 2011, we have spayed & neutered over 790 cats and adopted over 500 cats & kittens who would otherwise be homeless and producing thousands more homeless cats. Monthly donations usually cover our expenses, which are vet bills between $1500-$3000. Financial assistance has been received from Comox Valley Regional District, Kensington Foundation, Merck, Coastal Community Credit Union, Buy-Sell-Trade & local papers (ads). We have the support of five local vets with discounted accounts. We have worked very hard to put together our 2011 Operations Manual to guide the future of the Society.
