Since 1956, Monroe County Humane Association (MCHA) has embodied hope and compassion for animals and their human companions throughout Monroe County and its surrounding regions. With a legacy rich in heartfelt service and impactful change spanning more than six decades, MCHA steadfastly remains a sanctuary of support, kindness, and proactive care for animals in their most vulnerable times. At MCHA, we strive to advance animal welfare, deepen human-animal bonds, and extend accessible veterinary care and humane education across our community. This mission comes to life through the relentless efforts of our dedicated staff, volunteers, and generous supporters, ensuring every animal experiences the dignity and care they rightfully deserve.

Giving refuge to non-releasable, rescued wildlife while providing conservation through exhibition and public education.

Establish The Shadow Fund, a medical grant program to provide financial grants for the benefit of retired K9s who have served the citizens of Indiana. Collaborate with multi-jurisdictional organizations to elevate training opportunities for Central Indiana K9s in service to our citizens by building a permanent training site. Build a War Dog Monument to honor the service of these brave animals to include a “heroes section” for the interment of K9s either killed in the line of duty or after retirement from service as a K9 officer.

Founded in 1934 to stop the shooting of migrating hawks along its ridgetop, the Hawk Mountain mission is to conserve birds of prey worldwide by providing leadership in raptor conservation science and education, and by maintaining Hawk Mountain Sanctuary as a model observation, research and education facility. This mission is accomplished through integrated programs in scientific research, conservation education, monitoring, public visitation, Sanctuary stewardship, and professional conservation training.

Tenafly Nature Center is a non-profit, independent, member-supported nature preserve located in Bergen County, New Jersey. Since 1961, TNC has nurtured an appreciation for nature, been a leader in open-space preservation and environmental education for our community and beyond. Our mission is the stewardship of nearly 400 wooded acres for the purposes of conservation, education, recreation, and community engagement. Our vision is to create a community that feels a strong connection to the natural world and actively partners with us to promote the highest level of biodiversity possible for our natural areas.

In 2008 Pilgrim Bark Park, a gated, off-leash recreational space in Provincetown for its residents, visitors and their dogs was created. Our mission today is to attend to the ongoing maintenance and improvements of the dog park, provide a clean, safe playground for dogs and their owners, and be an amenity for tourists traveling with their dogs.

"We are a group of horseshoers dedicated to upholding the standards of the AFA, continuing farrier education and striving towards ethical, correct shoeing jobs for the amazing animal we owe so much to; the horse. We get together several times a year to share knowledge and bring in some of the best clinicians in the world to do so. We are a farriers guild and have built strong and lasting friendships and welcome any farrier young or old to the trade, so join us on our journey to enlightening ourselves in this career. "
