The American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) is a convener, connector, and catalyst for change, increasing the political and economic power of people with disabilities. As a national cross-disability rights organization, AAPD advocates for full civil rights for the over 61 million Americans with disabilities by promoting equal opportunity, economic power, independent living, and political participation.

New Directions believes that people who have disabilities deserve the same opportunities in life that others expect and enjoy. Our profoundly enriching travel programs expand the self-esteem of every traveler. Whole new worlds of understanding open for both participants and the general population. Through these unique programs, people with disabilities are increasingly understood, appreciated and accepted as important and contributing members of our world. NAPD provides quality services to people with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities. The PEI Council of People with Disabilities (formerly named The PEI Council of the Disabled) was formed in 1974 by concerned people with disabilities. Its mandate is to speak out on issues such as housing, education, employment, transportation, human rights and access to support services. The PEI Council of People with Disabilities promotes the full participation and inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of Island life.

Strode Park Foundation specialises in providing care services for people with disabilities. It’s primary aim is to help each person to live as independently as possible and achieve their own goals and aspirations.

SCLD's vision is of a fairer Scotland where people with learning disabilities live full, safe, loving and equal lives.We are a human rights defender, working to uphold, protect and raise awareness of the human rights of people with learning disabilities.

Riders in the CARD program utilize horseback riding skills to achieve therapeutic and athletic goals. CARD provides a uniquely wide variety of classes within our program. This allows us to provide exceptional service to children and adults with a broad range of disabilities. Therapeutic horseback riding is medically recognized, and proven, to benefit children and adults with almost any cognitive, physical and/or emotional disability. CARD offers 4 different types of classes, each unique to the riders’ different goals. The 4 programs are Hippotherapy, Physical Therapy, Cognitive Therapy, and Adapted Sport.
