The mission of Lindsay Wildlife Experience is to connect people with wildlife to inspire responsibility and respect for the world we share. The museum was founded in 1955 by Alexander Lindsay, a local businessman, to teach children about natural sciences, particularly wildlife and their habitats. Over the years, the museum has developed a permanent collection of live, non-releasable native California wildlife and related artifacts. Lindsay is also a leader in the field of wildlife rehabilitation with a full veterinary staff and more than 500 volunteers. It is the first, and frequently only, resource for those who encounter injured, ill, or orphaned wildlife of all species, native mammals, birds, amphibians, and reptiles . During the recent drought years, Lindsay has treated record number of wild animals (more than 5,700 in the first 10 months of 2015). Begun in 1970, this formal wildlife rehabilitation program was the first of its kind in the United States.

Located in Peterborough Ontario, Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre - soon to be the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre - is a registered charity whose goal is to aid in the conservation of Ontario’s native turtles and the habitat in which they live. We accomplish this by operating a turtle hospital that treats, rehabilitates and releases injured turtles, by running an education and outreach program, and by performing extensive research in the field to further conservation initiatives

Wildlife Waystation was founded in 1976 to rescue and provide sanctuary for abandoned, abused or injured wild and exotic animals. Internationally known, the Wildlife Waystation has accepted tigers from Ireland, lions from New Zealand and Canada, and a variety of animals from across the United States, as well as Southern California native wildlife. Every rescue was important and, often life-saving. Over the years, thousands of native wildlife have been rehabilitated and successfully released back into their natural habitat. Thousands more, mostly exotics, have remained at our sanctuary. Here, they are well cared for by animal care staff, veterinarians and dedicated volunteers for the rest of their natural lives. Wildlife Waystation is also the largest chimpanzee sanctuary in the Western United States. Most of the chimpanzees have come from biomedical research facilities. Throughout the Waystation's history, educating the public has been a priority with a goal to preserve wildlife through understanding how to co-exist with native wildlife and why exotic animals do not make good pets. Through community programs, volunteers are available to speak to civic groups, scouts and schools and offer a Ranger Program for young children as well. The Wildlife Waystation continues this educational efforts by participating in community events throughout southern California. Frequently, some or our educational animals are also in attendance, a treat for the public and a way to convey our message.

Dedicated to the preservation of New Jersey's wildlife and habitats through education, conservation and rehabilitation. How we achieve this... Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge sits on 171 wooded acres on the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands. The Refuge includes the Woodford Nature Center, an outdoor housing area with more than 50 native residents, and a wildlife rehabilitation hospital. The overall mission of the Refuge is to serve as a community resource on the importance of protecting and enhancing healthy ecosystems for all. To that end, Cedar Run engages in: ecologically based land management; the operation of a Federally and NJ State licensed hospital facility that cares for more than 7,500 injured, orphaned or displaced native wild animals each year; the education of over 20,000 students annually through our various on-site and outreach programs; and serves as an active resource to the greater New Jersey community on all wildlife and habitat related questions and issues.

The World Parrot Trust is an international leader in science-based, results-oriented parrot conservation and welfare efforts. Our mission: - Restore and protect populations of wild parrots and their native habitats. - Promote awareness of the threats to all parrots - End the trade in wild-caught parrots and where possible, return parrots to the wild - Educate parrot caregivers and the general public about the care and well-being of companion parrots

Our mission is the permanent conservation of the Golden Lion Tamarin, an endangered primate, in its native lowland Atlantic Forest habitat in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and the ecological services it provides to the wellbeing of people of the local community and beyond. SGLT provides financial and technical assistance to the Associação Mico Leão Dourado (AMLD), an award-winning Brazilian non-profit organization who coordinates work in Brazil to achieve our joint mission.

Orangutan Outreach's mission is to protect orangutans in their native forests of Borneo and Sumatra while providing care for orphaned and displaced orangutans until they can be returned to their natural environment. If they cannot be released, we will do everything in our power to ensure they have a life of dignity and the best possible long-term care. We seek to raise funds and promote public awareness of orangutan conservation issues by collaborating with partner organizations around the world.

Infinity Ranch - Wild Mustang Rescue rescues and provides a sanctuary for wild American mustangs that have been rounded up, while educating the public and supporting conservation efforts to protect mustang herds. The organization describes giving rescued mustangs a safe, long‑term home and promoting awareness of their conservation needs.

Big Run Wolf Ranch is a federally licensed nonprofit wildlife facility that rescues and cares for North American animals and advances conservation through education. It offers on‑site and off‑site educational presentations, monthly public open-house events, camps and tours, and relies on public donations to support animal care.

Sandy Pines Wildlife Cntre, located in Napanee Ontario, is a licensed Wildlife rehabilitation centre covering an area from Toronto to Montreal and North to Ottawa. We take in all injured and orphaned animals and birds that are native to Ontario. Our facility is located on 60 acres of land with a hospital area and outdoor caging an flight aviaries. We hire staff in the summer but the centre is staffed by volunteers throughout the year. We are open 24/7 for emergencies and phone calls.

The Fort Fortitudine Vincimus Rescue Center is a no kill, non-discriminatory rescue dedicated to alleviating the suffering of all dogs, in particular the American Pit Bull Terrier.Our focus is rescuing and adopting animals to loving homes that are looking to welcome a new member to the family. We believe in the humane treatment of all breeds and animals, no matter how large or small.

Our mission is to save giraffes from extinction so they can live freely and safely in the woodlands and savannas of their native Africa. We have over twenty action-oriented projects in nine African countries including creating or improving large giraffe sanctuaries and wildlife corridors, supporting anti-poaching rangers and de-snaring work, rescuing, caring for and rewilding giraffe orphans, rescuing endangered giraffe trapped on an island, and rewilding giraffe and relocating giraffe to broaden gene pools.
