FACE School Foundation

AN ARTS-ORIENTED PUBLIC SCHOOL FACE STANDS FOR:FINE ARTS CORE EDUCATION. FACE offers an integrated arts program, from pre-kindergarten to secondary 5. Art education, consisting of visual arts, drama, instrumental and vocal music which make up a third of the curriculum, is mandatory for all students. FACE welcomes both French and English speaking students and is governed by two school boards: the Commission scolaire de Montréal, for the French sector, and the English Montreal School Board, for the English sector. FACE encourages co-education of the two communities. FACE does not aim to train artists. Instead, it provides a well-rounded education that prepares the student for becoming a more creative, independent, responsible, and versatile adult, equipped for an increasingly complex society. Canada Ireland Foundation

Ireland Park is the principle memorial to the Irish famine experience in Toronto. During the summer of 1847, 38,000 Irish famine immigrants arrived in Toronto when the city's population was only 20,000. The Park will speak to the success of the Irish community in overcoming great adversity and acknowledges their significant contribution to the growth and development of Canada. It will stand as a beacon of hope to immigrants everywhere and will permanently change the perception and awareness of the Irish community in Canada as well as forging lasting relationships between both countries.

PAL CANADA FOUNDATION

PAL Canada® is the national umbrella organization, linking the eight (at present) PAL Chapters in Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Stratford, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. Membership in PAL implies a commitment to PAL’s mandate, which is to provide assistance to older, disabled or needy members and associates of Canada’s Performing Arts Community, in the areas of health, well-being and affordable accommodation. African Pikin Foundation

At the present time only 41% of children in Sierra Leone have the opportunity to go to primary school and only 9% go on to attend secondary school due to the lack of financial and educational resources and the lack of schools. The unlucky ones, the ones who do not have the advantages that come with education, are left to suffer and fend for themselves in an unstable environment. There is only one teacher for every 70 students. Please help us break the cycle of poverty by education today's youth
