The NCWC Education fund works closely with the National Council of Women of Canada, which represents over 750,000 Canadians through its 24 Nationally Organized Affiliated Societies, Provincial Councils in 6 Provinces and 15 Local Councils of Women. The Canadian Hero Fund is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting Canadian military personnel and their families. The Canadian Hero Fund was founded by a group of students at the University of Toronto who were deeply impacted by the increasing number of Canadian casualties and the young families they left behind. As a non-political civilian charity, the Canadian Hero Fund raises money through community, grassroots efforts. The Canadian Hero Fund also acts as a conduit for all Canadians to show their support and care for military families and their sacrifice. The Children's Heritage Fund is a Committee of the Board of the Winnipeg School Division established on September 30, 1980 to assist in funding projects which would not normally be totally funded through regular school or school division accounts. Schools are able to apply for grants from the Fund for outdoor education; multicultural and cultural enrichment of direct benefit to students, support for visual and performing arts such as music, drama, art, dance, athletics; construction and installation of playground equipment and grounds; construction and upgrading of playing fields; meeting other special student needs as they arise such as registrations, artists in schools, publication of student produced books..
The Steelworkers Humanity Fund is a registered Canadian Charity primarily funded by USW member contributions that has for more than 25 years supported international development projects, provided emergency humanitarian aid for disasters around the world, supported food banks across Canada, and offered an education program for Steelworker members.
