The Learning Centre for Georgina is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping adults learn. LCG ensures that quality literacy services are available and provided throughout the Town of Georgina through our Literacy Basic Skills (LBS) and Ontario Basic Skills IV (OBS IV) Programs

JazzEast Rising is a non-profit organization formed in 1987 to present the first ever Atlantic Jazz Festival in Halifax. Over the past 22 years, JazzEast has widened its horizons beyond the successful TD Canada Trust Atlantic Jazz Festival to become involved, throughout the year, in a diverse range of musical and educational activities. JazzEast's mandate runs from the promotion and presentation of soft-seat concerts and bar gigs to planning educational workshops (such as the renowned Creative Music Workshop). In brief, we think jazz is important to the culture which we'd like to have, and we want to make sure that kind of culture is strong in Halifax, where we love to live. Not just an organization, JazzEast is a community. We are over 500 active volunteers, 200 members, 270+ local and regional jazz artists, a team of corporate and government partners and an audience that has surpassed the 65,000 mark.

The Neerlandia Christian Education Society represents the community that supports and encourages the operation of the Neerlandia Public Christian School. Neerlandia Public Christian School’s motto is: “Learning to Serve”. This is a continuing goal and vision for the student body. The Kindergarten through Grade 9 school is located in the hamlet of Neerlandia, a thriving farm community located north of Barrhead, Alberta. We serve over 210 students as a Christian alternative school within Pembina Hills Regional Division #7. Although alternative status was achieved in 1995, our history of providing Christian education in the community goes back to 1915 shortly after Neerlandia's founding by Dutch immigrants. We incorporate a Christian world and life view in all the subject areas, challenging students to apply their learning to a faithful life of service. We also emphasize service projects throughout the year as we try to teach the students to serve God and others.

Fundraising campaign to raise funds for enhancements to the athletic facility and theatre

4-H is an organization of leaders building leaders. Approximately 6000 youth 6-21 years of age, and a grass roots network of 1800 trained, screened volunteers pledge their Head, Heart, Hands and Health as members of community-based clubs. The Cloverbud Program includes youth 6-8 years old. With projects encompassing agriculture, food, health and the environment, 4-H Ontario's "Learn To Do By Doing" clubs, camps and conferences have a successful 98 year history in developing competence, confidence, connection, character and caring within rural and urban youth.

The Bowen Island Public Library Foundation was established in 1989 to facilitate and fund the provision of materials and services at the Bowen Island Public Library. The Foundation accepts donations, bequests, endowments, trusts and other financial programs and investments to support the activities of the Bowen Island Public Library. The Foundation supports Bowen Island Public Library in areas not normally funded by municipal tax dollars. Some of the projects supported in the past include Summer Reading Club staff, improved library software sytems, and celebrations of the library community and volunteers.

The Literacy Council of South Simcoe is a non-profit, community based organization dedicated to promoting and providing literacy skills in the community. Through our team of trained Volunteer Tutors, we offer free, confidential tutoring to adults in reading, writing, math and computer basics in either a one-to-one or small group setting. The Literacy Council of South Simcoe is partially funded through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. We achieve our mission through four major program areas, targeting youth and educators – in both official languages: 1. Science projects and science fairs – science projects in schools and homes; regional science fairs in every province and territory; the weeklong Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF); and Team Canada representing the country at Intel ISEF, MILSET, and other international youth science competitions and events. 2. Smarter Science – a framework, resources, and workshops for teaching and learning science through inquiry for teachers in grades 1-12. 3. SMARTS – our online community for youth and the adults who support them. 4. School Campaigns – Invent the Future and Youth Science Month – national campaigns that provide teachers in 11,000 schools (every school in the country with grades 7-12/Cégep) with information on inquiry, project-based science, science fairs, and the achievements of Canada’s young scientists.

The Tyndale Foundation manages donations, monthly and planned giving, special events, the annual fund campaign and the capital campaign for Tyndale University College & Seminary.

The Society of Ontario Freethinkers (SOFREE) is a dynamic secular fellowship that promotes freethought, critical thinking, dignity and equality for humanists, atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. We provide a social network for members, run a video production service that promotes freethought, social justice, critical thinking, and Humanist culture, provide educational resources for teachers of high school world religions courses, support the Good Without God KW publicity campaign of the KW Atheist Alliance.

The Foundation of the Canadian Psychiatric Association (FCPA) is dedicated to helping Canadian psychiatrists develop innovative evidence-based best practices to better serve their patients and all Canadians.
