Phakamani Foundation helps families lift themselves out of poverty. We provide microenterprise loans, training, and on-going support for poor entrepreneurs, leading to stable incomes, savings and hope. Phakamani means "rise up" in Zulu, and is pronounced, "pug-ah-ma-nee". Phakamani Foundation presently operates in the poorest areas of Southern Africa. We empower poor people who have both good ideas and initiative by giving them a series of business loans, starting as low as $100 to as high as $1500. Success for our members will mean that they no longer fret about most of the things that most westerners take so for granted: a roof that does not leak, at least 2 nutritious meals a day for their family, the ability to pay school fees and books, access to a local health clinic, etc.

The Stamford Police Department of Stamford, Connecticut is the sole, full-time law enforcement agency responsible for public safety in the city. As the Stamford Police Foundation, we act as a conduit for the Stamford community, businesses and the private sector to provide support to the Stamford Police Department. This support helps ensure the highest level of police service to the City of Stamford.

Founded in 2004, the Nanubhai Education Foundation (NEF) is dedicated to promoting access to higher education for marginalized students. Our Nanubhai Scholars program provides college scholarships to financially vulnerable girls from rural India. We offer financial, social, and emotional support during a Scholar's program, and offer job placement preparation as they near graduation.

Medic One Foundation saves lives by improving pre-hospital emergency care. Our programs ensure that pre-hospital emergency care in our region is medically appropriate, employs the most advanced procedures, and is performed by qualified personnel. Since 1974, we have invested $30 million to improve pre-hospital emergency care.

The British Columbia Conservation Foundation (BCCF) was founded and incorporated under the Society Act of British Columbia in 1969, by the Directors of the BC Wildlife Federation, to contribute significantly to the perpetuation and expansion of fish and wildlife populations through the efficient implementation of projects in the field. We are a federally registered charity dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of British Columbia's ecosystems and species.

Nikkei Place is comprised of the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, Nikkei Home and New Sakura-so. Nikkei Place Foundation helps support programs and activities at Nikkei Place by providing funding to the Nikkei National Cultural Centre and Nikkei Seniors Health Care & Housing Society. The Coquitlam Foundation attracts and manages charitable gifts of cash, bonds, shares, pledges, bequests, memorials and life insurance in the form of permanent endowments. The earnings on these endowment funds are used to return monies to local charities in the form of grants for initiatives to benefit local children, youth, seniors, arts & cultural, conservation and heritage projects of benefit to the residents of Coquitlam.

A 100% volunteer-based charity committed to ensuring the efficient and effective use of public donations. The Foundation does not have paid staff and does not receive government funding. It relies on volunteer contributions, public donations and corporate support. Donations go to spay/neuter, veterinary medical care, adoption and public education programs for companion animals. Designated donations accepted.

We plan to take 2 kids a year coming from a rehab center and send them on a wilderness camp journey followed by a career working on films or they can go into the culinary world. We have some of the best mentors which will be coaching them along the way. These mentors have been through the same history and are now millionaires with great insight.

Many people with intellectual disabilities are living on or below the poverty line. Simcoe Community Services Foundation was established in 1998 and partners directly with Simcoe Community Services in supporting thousands of adults and children with intellectual disabilities and their families across Simcoe County. Funds raised by the Foundation go directly to individuals and families for services and supports that receive limited or no government funding. Simcoe Community Services was established in 1953 by concerned parents wishing to offer their children with intellectual disabilities an alternative to institutional placement. It is a multi-service agency that provides a wide range of programs and services to people at every life stage.
