The North American Native Plant Society is a volunteer-operated registered charitable organization concerned with preserving native plant habitat in wild areas and restoring indigenous flora to developed areas. It is our belief that nature belongs in urban, suburban, and rural areas as much as in remote areas. To that end, we host a variety of seminars and workshops, provide a seed exchange, operate Canada’s largest native plant sale each May, publish a quarterly newsletter and e-newsletter, provide a forum for people interested in learning more about native plants and manage two conservation properties in Ontario.

The Canadian Association of Fairs and Exhibitions (C.A.F.E.) is a charitable organization that represents Canadian festivals, rural fairs, urban exhibitions, agricultural societies, provincial associations, industry service providers, affiliate associations, and government departments with a direct interest in the fair and event industry. C.A.F.E. provides leadership in the growth and development of the Canadian fair and event industry and delivers programs and services that benefit members for their long-term success.

The Friends of the Tay Watershed (FoTW) is a non-profit association, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the health of the Tay River Watershed. It was founded and obtained incorporated non-profit charitable status in 2001. The Tay is a magnificent tributary of the Rideau Canal system in eastern Ontario, covering 95 kilometers and encompassing 46 lakes and numerous streams and wetlands. The FoTW involves landowners, water users, and other interested parties in programs to improve the health of the Tay River Watershed. It works to: 1. educate the public and watershed stakeholders on the benefits of maintaining and improving wildlife habitat, recreation, and water quality and quantity in the Tay Watershed; 2. carry forward the recommendations of the Tay River Watershed Management Plan; 3. promote the coordination of water protection and improvement activities from the range of organizations involved in watershed management. EHANS carries out a variety of activities to achieve these goals including - The popular on-line Guide to Less Toxic Products, www.lesstoxicguide.ca - Environmental health news, analysis and practical information published in our semi-annual publication, and on line at www.environmentalhealth.ca - Gathering and disseminating information addressing the special needs of people with chemical sensitivity - The E. Bruce Elliott Memorial Fund, which supports public lectures, book donations and other educational activities - The E. Bruce Elliott Scholarship in Environmental Medicine, which provides specialized training opportunities to physicians and other health professionals - Support for individuals through a 1-800 phone line - Collaboration with other community groups working to reduce environmental toxins

IMANA will foster health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance in communities around the world through direct patient care, health programs, and advocacy.

Bear With Us: Four primary areas of operation are: 1-Black Bear Rehabilitation; orphaned bear cubs and injured bears cared for and returned to the wild in a high state of health. 2-Bear Sanctuary; various species; A comfortable place to stay for permanent unreleasable bears such as ex-circus bears, zoo excess or illegal pet confiscations. 3-Education; (a)-off location slide/video presentations for groups at Provincial Parks, schools, cub and guides, other young peoples groups, nature clubs and more. (b)-comprehensive website, facebook page and a special educational facebook page for Molly Bear. (c)-one on one phone conversations and email responses to indivduals with questions regarding bears. 4-Conflict Resolution; Assisting people and bears to coexist together. Individual consultation with people about how not to encourage or discourage a nuisance bear by removing food attractants, live trapping and relocating individual bears when other potential solutions have been exhausted.
