The Alberta Lymphedema Association (ALA) is a not for profit charitable organization founded in 2003 by a team of people who recognized the need to help people living with, or at risk of, lymphedema. A learning association committed to ongoing education of its stakeholders, ALA works to make a difference and empower affected individuals and their families to help manage this condition. ALA works from the patient standpoint.

The Arizona Trail Association's mission is to protect, maintain, enhance, promote and sustain the Arizona Trail as a unique encounter with the land.

For over ten years Oaklands Community Association has strived to provide a wide range of low-cost, quality programs for children, youth, adults and seniors of all abilities.

The Allenby Parents’ Association is a parent-run organization that provides support for your children’s education through communication and fundraising. The APA follows the school council guidelines as set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education. All parents with children attending Allenby Public School are members of the APA.

Founded in 1923, the Better Government Association is an independent, non-partisan government watchdog groufraud and corruption in government by conducting investigative research and litigation to expose problems; researching policy solutions promoting transparency and accountability in government; and using internship programs to train the next generation of investigators and public interest lawyers.

Founded by its current artistic director Scott Leithead, the Kokopelli Choir Association has been providing quality choral music performance and instruction in the Edmonton area and beyond since its inception in 1996. Over the years, the association has grown from a single youth choir to a family of 4 choirs; with each choir focusing on bringing spirit and artistic integrity to their performances. Kokopelli, the original youth choir, with members ranging in age from 14 to 24; Òran, which includes new members as well as past Kokopelli members aged 20 years and older; Shumayela, an apprentice choir with members in the 10 – 14 year old age group; and Kikimasu, our newest addition with singers aged 8 to 12. The choir is known for their unique style of presentation, which combines high quality musical delivery and artistic staging. The choirs have a diverse repertoire, ranging from canonical repertoire to avant garde contemporary works and African traditional pieces.

In the past, the SRA has undertaken many projects, ranging from salmon habitat restoration to lobbying (successfully) for flood plain zoning and protection. Our efforts are concentrated on protecting and restoring salmon habitat, reconnecting fragmented salmon habitat, rebuilding salmon habitats through restocking, and educating the public through our two educational in-classroom programs River Rangers and Fish Friends. We are also working on developing a watershed management plan for the Sackville River Watershed, based on our existing Sackville River Ecosystem Plan (SREP). The expertise used to design and implement the protection, restoration activities and education materials comes from our volunteer membership, assistance from government staff at all levels, donated time from local consultant firms, and summer students when funding is available for them. Using this approach we have been quite successful to date.

We are a small group of inspired individuals who believe in the power of motivation and courage. We believe that even a smallest support can significantly transform someone else’s future. We are focusing our charitable effort on providing help to orphaned children.
