The Halifax Association for Community Living (HACL) is a grass roots, family-based, charitable organization serving children, youth and adults with intellectual disabilities as well as offering support to their families in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

The association also helps Vic High and its students directly by: Funding scholarships and bursaries totalling approximately $8,000 each year and raising special funds for projects like: -refurbishing and purchasing a professional sound system for the auditorium, -purchasing a bus for the use of the school, and -raising funds to support on-going school activities in the areas of performing visual arts, sports and vocational education. The association works with the Archives group that has assembled a truly remarkable collection of records chronicling many aspects of the school since its earliest days.
The FarmSafe Foundation is a registered Canadian charity supporting the educational initiatives of the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association. Your donation with help prevent injuries one child at a time through Safety Days. It will also help farmers manage safety risks through safety training and tools.
The GCCA is a non-profit society comprised of community volunteers that jointly operates the Trout Lake Community Centre with the Vancouver Park Board. The Associations seeks to make the centre a place where health and wellness is at the forefront of thinking and where a full spectrum of social, physical, arts and culture programs enriches the lives of individuals and their community. Our responsibilities include shaping programming, hiring instructors, raising funds, and accessing grants, developing rental policy, advocating for our parks and insuring that decisions affecting the community are made at the grass roots level. The revenue generated through programs and rentals stays in our community and is invested in activities for children, special events, facility enhancements, park programs and artist residencies among other things. Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) is a registered charity that helps Manitobans learn about the law and our legal system. We have been providing our many services and programs, most of them free of charge, since 1984. Our programs help promote access to justice by fostering an understanding of our justice system. Some of our specific programs include: - The Law Phone-In & Lawyer Referral Program - a free telephone legal information and lawyer referral service, - Publications written in plain language on a variety of legal topics, - Free presentations about the law for community groups and schools, - Training courses about the law for community service providers, - An annual law conference. Calgary Search and Rescue Association (CALSARA) is a registered charitable organization dedicated to providing fully-trained volunteers to assist local agencies such as City of Calgary Police Service, RCMP, MD of Rockyview, Municipal Police Services, in ground search and rescue operations. We were founded in 1993. When called upon by the authorities to help in a search, our members are ready and able to be deployed into the field within hours. Upon setting up a base camp and command post near the point last seen or last known position, searchers are briefed by our experienced search managers about the subject and circumstances, broken into groups of three or more and spread out around the search area. When located, the individual(s) is stabilized, secured and evacuated from the area.
