The Registered Nurses Foundation (RNF) is a registered, charitable organization (since 1979) committed to the advancement of nursing practice and nursing education. The RNF raises money for bursaries for students enrolled in basic, post-basic, refresher, specialty and graduate education programs in nursing, or involved in nursing research in their education (i.e. Master's or PHD Program). Bursary winners are selected by the Board of Directors each year in October. All board members are volunteers who donate their time and expertise to the Foundation. A portion of the money raised each year is used for administration costs including secretarial support, mail-outs and postage, processing bursary applications and website hosting. RNF meeting space is provided for no charge by the CRNBC. Each year the demand for bursaries increases. Your tax deductible donation will help students and RNs continue their nursing education. Foster Care to Success Founded in 1981, the Orphan Foundation of America (OFA)is the only national organization dedicated solely to helping older foster youth make a successful transition to adulthood. OFA's mission is to provide teens leaving foster care with scholarships, leadership development, mentoring support, and independent living skills that will enable them to become productive, self-reliant adults.

The Vision Our programs are designed to directly help diabetics not only in Canada but worldwide and, at the same time, preserve the birthplace of Sir Frederick Banting. Fighting Diabetes We are dedicated to preventing diabetes, contributing to the search for a cure and helping diabetics to realize a better quality of life. Our programs emphasize prevention through education. They include a special focus on adolescents, children, First Nations and other at-risk communities, through pursuit of excellence in diabetes outreach education supported by world-class research and clinical initiatives in paediatric diabetes. Preserving a Legacy We are committed to restoring and preserving the historic site of Sir Frederick’s birth as a publicly accessible, unique venue in which families and visitors from around the world can enjoy a welcoming recreational experience combined with motivational education in the environment in which a great Canadian was born and spent his early years.

St. Andrew’s College Board of Directors and the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada in 1979 jointly initiated a Foundation for the sole purpose of raising fund which were to be invested, and only the interest to be utilized for the ongoing needs of the College and its various programs. This fund continues to grow thanks to the generosity and Christian love of the members of the congregations of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church as well as the Ukrainian community at large in the diaspora.

As a registered charity, the Children’s Aid Foundation raises funds for programs of the Children’s Aid Society and other child welfare organizations that support children in three critical areas: Education programs that give children a chance to pursue their dreams and build successful lives for themselves, Enrichment programs that provide recreational and cultural opportunities so that disadvantaged children can experience healthy development, and Prevention programs that provide support for families before abuse and neglect begin.

Major capital priorities of the Foundation over the next three years, as identified by MECCS, include: Property Acquisition: purchase of the St. John’s School property - $4,000,000 Property Improvements and Ongoing Maintenance - $525,000 based on Alberta Education physical plant assessment Capital Purchases: kitchen steamer system, commercial dishwasher, boilers - $60,000 FOMEF, as part of its mandate, also provides grants to the school in support of program needs including student transportation and the hot lunch program.

The Aspen Foundation for Labour Education works to educate youth to allow them to work, live, and participate fully in a democratic society. It presents an important opportunity to support the teaching of social justice and labour education in Alberta’s classrooms. AFLE provides quality curricular resources and support materials, a speakers bureau, and professional development for teachers, all of which are offered from perspectives based upon the democratic ideals of cooperation, equality, justice, and citizen engagement. Over 20 million Canadians suffer from digestive disorders every year. We believes this is unnecessary and unacceptable. The CDHF reduces suffering and improvs quality of life by empowering Canadians with trusted, up to date, science-based information about digestive health and disease. We are the Foundation of the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG). As such, we work directly with leading physicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals to help Canadians understand and take control of their digestive health with confidence and optimism. Through research and public education, we aim to: REDUCE the incidence and prevalence of digestive disorders; IMPROVE understanding of digestive health issues; SUPPORT those suffering from digestive disorders; and, ENHANCE quality of life for those living with digestive disorders.

St. Paul’s College Foundation Inc. supports the educational and religious objectives of St. Paul’s College through fundraising activities and stewardship of investments derived from received gifts. General Fund The General Fund supports current services such as student aide, the Winnipeg International Storytelling Festival, Campus Ministry, building repairs and maintenance, and other areas of priorities which advance the College. The Endowment Fund Home to a number of sub-funds the Endowment Fund provides support for Jesuit Centre for Catholic Studies, Hanley Lecture Series, general operations and as well, an academic award portfolio which includes scholarships, bursaries, and prizes for student members. Arthur V. Mauro Peace and Justice Fund Provides operational support to the Mauro Centre and the Sol Kanee Lecture Series. It is home to Canada’s only PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies and the Joint MA Peace and Conflicts Studies program.

Myanmar/Burma Schools Project Foundation (MBSPF) is committed to building schools and providing educational opportunities for the impoverished children of Myanmar. Our projects assist the children of Myanmar in finding a way out of poverty and help us practice generosity, compassion and gratitude. Representatives of MBSPF travel to Myanmar each year to visit completed projects and determine suitable locations for the upcoming projects for the current year. We offer our assistance with the support of the villagers, the local Buddhist monks and nuns and the Myanmar government’s education department. For 2014, MBSPF has committed to building six schools and two are completed already in Thein Kone and Subhyikyin in the rural Mandalay area. A third school is underway in Thit Yone. During 2013, MBSPF built two schools in Daw Hut Taw and Hta Naung Daing and renovated a third in Daw Hut Taw at a total cost of over $100,000.

Seven Oaks Education Foundation is dedicated to providing the students of Seven Oaks School Division access to post secondary education.
