Our goal is to transform the high school experience for the American teenager through providing a space that not only focuses on academic discipline, but prepares students for life. We believe that learning should be active and at Averroes we constantly strive to challenge students to discover their own potential. Academic excellence is demonstrated through rigorous engagement, comprehensive assessment and thoughtful self-evaluation. We honor the uniqueness of each individual and embrace diverse backgrounds to build a strong, inclusive community and to prepare students for lives in a multicultural society. Learning extends beyond the classroom to instill in students a sense of mission and purpose as citizens of the larger community and world. Students best grow in personal responsibility and self-worth in a school characterized by trust, honesty, mutual respect and more conduct. We are committed to reflection, evaluation, and innovation as a means to improve teaching and learning constantly.

Horton's Kids empowers children growing up in some of Washington DC's most under-invested communities so that they graduate from high school ready for success in college, career, and life. Hortons Kids works to narrow the equity gap to help students realize their ambitious dreams for the future. Our multi-generational approach also supports parents and caregivers with wrap-around resources and services to maintain household stability.

Jubilee Kids’ mission is to honor our Lord and Savior by partnering with like-minded ministries to build hope and a better future for the children of Haiti.

CodeCreate Technology Education at Resilience Partners provides dynamic and creative experiences for young people, educators and families, bringing innovative opportunities for learners to imagine, reflect, play and create! We empower learners through creative design experiences with everyday technology and the learner's own ideas: commands that students will retain every other time they see those tools across diverse areas of Chicago and several nations. CodeCreate guides participants in the creation and appreciation of intuitively based technology combined with artistic expressions, especially within basic circuitry, robotics and computer programming, media arts, illustration, 3D design and performing arts.

To promote and encourage financial education.

After-The-Bell provides a supervised after-school program of recreational, social, and academic skill-developing activities for Kennett Middle School students. The program is led by community volunteers and provided without charge.

Teachers' Treasures obtains and distributes school supplies free to teachers of students in need.

The mission of Wylde Center is to educate, cultivate greenspaces, and build community in the areas we serve. Wylde Center accomplishes this through educational programs, events and greenspaces that actively engage youth, families and individuals in their environment, health and community, and that develop skills in environmental science, sustainable urban living, organic gardening, health, and nutrition.

The Academy of Music's mission is to provide the joys and benefits of learning music to the residents of Hampton Roads, regardless of their ability to pay.
