Social Guidance Association has been at the forefront of making a difference in the lives of children since 2005. A Lebanese-registered organization, SGA works among the most vulnerable in the Middle East and North African region. Through all that we do, we seek to improve the quality of life and impact the hearts of children and youth in Lebanon and the greater MENA region.

With the improving of their self-esteem, educational level and supporting their art and creative abilities we decrease the social isolation of heart operated children. Connecting families in our club activities we give them space to exchange experience, find support and feel less isolated Our organization works together with National Heart Hospital in order to secure adequate access to healthcare system for grown-ups (above 18 years age) people with CHD.

Alzheimer Bulgaria is an association of patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, as well as their families, caregivers, and professionals. It was registered in December 2003 and since January 2004 has been registered with the Ministry of Justice. We are members of Alzheimer Europe, Eurocarers, the Global Dementia Friends Campaign. We have officially registered 2 branches of the organization in Bulgaria - Gotse Delchev and Pleven and there are volunteers who share their personal experiences in the towns of Varna, Lovech, Plovdiv, Lukovit, Topolovgrad. Our mission is to help dementia patients and their families with all legal means, including the protection of their human rights. Our main goals are: improving the quality of life of patients with dementia and their families; changing the public perception of dementia patients; disseminating information and raising awareness among families and authorities; advocacy for social and health policies specifically targeting dementia patients and their families.

The ToakLink Community Association is dedicated to uplifting Toak Village through innovative and collaborative initiatives, aiming to significantly enhance the lives of all community members. Their vision is to empower Toak Village project by project, fostering a vibrant and sustainable future. This involves a proactive empowerment model focused on community-led change and self-reliance. Guiding Principles: 1. Collaboration and Unity 2. Innovation 3. Community Resilience and Preparedness 4. Support and Solidarity 5. Digital Transformation 6. Decentralization and Enhanced Community Governance Strategic Programs: Maritime Mobility: Aims to improve inter-island transportation with a cargo and passenger vessel, focusing on Ambrym Island and Vanuatu province to boost economic prosperity. A feasibility study was completed in October 2023. This is foundational for other economic programs. Retail Resonance: Plans to establish robust retail channels, including a shop in Port Vila and a farmers market, to connect local producers with urban markets. This follows the Maritime Mobility initiative. Agricultural & Aquatic Association: Focuses on empowering local farmers and fishermen by blending traditional practices with aquatic resources to enhance food security and community strength. It respects existing local knowledge and cultural heritage. Digital Marketplace: Envisions an e-commerce platform to expand market access for local products and stimulate economic growth, overcoming geographical limitations. Foundational Initiatives: Disaster Preparedness and Relief: Includes the Toak Village Disaster Relief Committee to safeguard against natural calamities. The community has shown resilience and solidarity, such as supporting Pamal Village after Cyclone Lola and efficiently distributing aid received from the NDMO. Community Infrastructure and Governance: Toak Unity Hall: A collaborative project with Australian Direct Aid and neighboring villages (Sahuot, Mbarias, Maat) to provide a vital community space. New Area Council Office: Initiated by Toak Village to align with the Vanuatu government's decentralization mission, aiming to become the main government administration center in South East Ambrym. Progress and Partnerships: Recent achievements include the launch of the community website (November 2023), completion of the Maritime Mobility feasibility study (October 2023), effective disaster response post-Cyclone Lola, youth engagement in community projects like church revitalization and the Toak Gospel Kids Club, and ongoing construction of the Unity Hall and Area Council Office. ToakLink values collaborations with partners like Australian Direct Aid, the Vanuatu Government, NDMO, VANGO, local villages, and community members. Call to Action: The Association invites support in various forms, including donations, to fuel its programs, such as acquiring the vessel, stocking the retail shop, developing the Digital Marketplace, and bolstering disaster preparedness and infrastructure projects. The overarching goal is a future forged by community, collaboration, and commitment, leading to a thriving, resilient, and self-determined Toak Village.

If we have to put our mission into generalized terms, they should be interconnectedness and community-building. We create the suitable conditions and occasions through our projects (such as Baba Residence, EMPATHEAST and Social Innovation Challenge) for different people with diverse know-how to meet and start implementing their changemaking skills and look for solutions together in their immediate environment. We seek to engage and connect the most significant cultural and economical agents in order to reach positive social and cultural changes. To connect artists and anthropologists, bussineses and folklore traditions, local authority and people from the villages etc. Since we're devoted to highlighting the local cultural and entrepreneurial potential and resources of different Bulgarian regions/ cities/ villages, our main tendency is to work more and more on-field. In order to be fully able to extract and connect different sectors and cultural actors in a fruitful way, we need to know the problems / challenges from within and with the people who are affected by them and can trigger any possible future change. So to say, one of the main routes of our mission is to nourish slow-movement conscious change within the communities we're part of through both observation and participation. And sometimes this can be achieved through very simple initiatives such as organizing a sedyanka (a traditional Bulgarian work gathering in the villages; working-bee) with young people in the villages or just giving the old ladies a reason and stimulus from a village to start using their looms again and share their knowledge with a young designer.

EVA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and registered in the State of Illinois. It was created for the purpose of assisting Ecuadorian institutions devoted to educational, social, and health programs for the poor, neglected, and at-risk segments of the population. EVA is run by volunteers, and the various programs are implemented through network of viable, non-profit Ecuadorian institutions previously selected by a careful screening process. EVA requires that all the funds collected and distributed as yearly grants be only used for programmatic objectives of the organization it sponsors. EVA's Community Assistance Grant was instituted in 2008 to improve the quality of life of economically disadvantaged people living in the Chicago Metropolitan area where EVA is located. I Since its inception, we have been giving opportunities to advance educational, health, and human service programs in the local community.

The Israel Internet Association (ISOC-IL) is an independent non-profit organization established in 1997 to promote internet access and integration across Israel. Our pivotal mission is to ensure the Israeli internet is a reliable, secure, independent, fair, and competitive space for the benefit of internet users and the Israeli public (see: https://en.isoc.org.il). ISOC-IL is first and foremost Israel's country code top-level domains (ccTLD) registry, responsible for managing the registration of '.il' and '.' domain names (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/il-cctld), as well as the ongoing operation of the Israeli Internet eXchange (IIX), which allows secure, fast, unrestricted access to Israeli and global websites and online services at any time and place (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/iix/about-iix). Based on these values and technical expertise, ISOC-IL conducts policy research, educational programs, and emergency response initiatives, working to bridge digital gaps and enhance online safety across Israel's diverse communities, while sharing evidence-based insights with the global internet governance community (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/about/news-room). The Internet Safety Hotline which has been operated by ISOC-IL since 2013, provides assistance, guidance, information and tools for internet users in Israel, empowering individuals and communities to prevent and handle a wide range of online abuses and threats (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/the-internet-safety-hotline). The Internet Safety Hotline is a first responder to hundreds of monthly requests for assistance and support, and is recognized as a trusted partner and flagger by leading social media platforms, web hosting services and URL shortening services, reporting to them directly about instances of abuse and offensive, malicious and illegal content, activities and actors targeting internet users and communities in Israel. Through the operation of the Internet Safety Hotline, ISOC-IL has developed deep expertise and experience in monitoring and reporting abuse and malicious content to social media platforms, utilizing a comprehensive evidence-based approach and knowledge of platform policies to address online threats, supported by academic rigor and a community-focused perspective on pertinent issues (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/data-and-statistics/isoc-ils-internet-safety-hotline-data-and-insights-about-online-abuse-in-israel-in-2023) ISOC-IL conducts programs and produces educational materials promoting digital literacy, broadening the public's understanding of the educational and economic opportunities available on the internet while fostering digital trust, online safety and presenting day-to-day solutions to digital threats. ISOC-IL's main focus in the context of the digital divide is the promotion of digital literacy and inclusion, which focuses on the ability to understand and navigate the computing and internet environment. It encompasses a range of skills - technical, cognitive, and sociological - that are crucial for performing tasks and solving problems in digital environments. There are various expressions of digital literacy, including knowledge of the basic principles of computers, ability to safely browse the internet, ability to perform tasks such as online bill payments and shopping, participation in online communities and social networks while adhering to behavioral norms, critical thinking skills, and capability to find, capture, assess, and understand information presented through digital technology. In the last few years and especially after October 7 and the current war, ISOC-IL staff and leadership have had a key role in shaping public policy and decision making regarding online threats and enhancing information integrity by the state, civil society and the private sector in Israel (see: https://en.isoc.org.il/policy-community/policy-papers/oct7-social/drowning-in-the-flood). Mavi Kalem was formed at the aftermath of the 1999 earthquake, and founded in 2000, to respond the needs of the earthquake affected and migrated communities in particular of the disadvantageous groups of women and children in health and education. Since then, it has been implementing projects mainly assisting women and children since its establishment. Projects involving the empowerment, skill development, health services and information sharing have been implemented throughout 2000-2002 in Düzce area, mainly assisting women and children after the earthquake. Since 2002, Mavi Kalem has been implementing projects and activities concerning; educational support, awareness raising on health standards, awareness raising on domestic violence, psychological support, consultancy on health and legal issues for both local and migrated women and children in Fener/ Balat district in Fatih, Istanbul, addressing the needs of children, women and girls of the local community migrated from all regions of Turkey and since 2014 the Syrian children and women in Fener-Balat were included in its beneficiary group. Activities such as Turkish language courses, socialization activities with local population, help in admissions to schools and other official and administrative actions, and psychological support were provided to Syrian children and women. Mavi Kalem has worked toward the Syrian refugee influx related issues since 2011, by conducting needs assessments and gap analysis in Hatay, Gaziantep and Sanliurfa without-camp populations. Also on the national and international level; women' rights and health rights, children's rights, wide spreading of minimum standards in humanitarian aid, youth exchange programs are included in Mavi Kalem's actions. Dissemination and advocacy for humanitarian assistance standards and principles in disasters, emergencies and migration situations is one of Mavi Kalem's work areas. Since 2001 it has been part of Sphere Project, since 2009 INEE Workgroups and for 2 years now part of CHS Alliance. MAVİ KALEM has held the adaptation of Sphere handbook in Turkish successfully and been in cooperation with Ministry of Health, TRC, municipality health departments for its wide spreading, and implementing training programs. Similarly INEE and CHS basic humanitarian aid principal books have been adapted to Turkish and disseminated at national level by Mavi Kalem. It is one of the founding members of SITAP (Civil Society Disaster Platform, national). Mavi Kalem has organized Women in Disasters and Emergencies Workshop hosting women experts, academics, experienced NGO field workers from humanitarian organizations, NGOs, and women right based organizations in 2016. Gender specific issues, needs, and rights in emergency settings were discussed; field experiences and suggestions for improvement were exchanged toward strengthening and mainstreaming the gender perspective in disaster and emergency response. Mavi Kalem, has also delivered its services and expertise to disaster and emergency or poverty affected locations other than its primary implementation area through partnership with other local organizations, in other districts of Istanbul and other provinces such as during the Van earthquake response. Overall organizational strength and capacity lies within the Mavi Kalem's 17 years of implementation experience with focus on public health and education, disaster, emergency and migration specialization, advocacy of women and girls health rights, mainstreaming gender equality perspective in its implementation, developing and designing projects and programs based on the needs and participation and feedback mechanisms of its beneficiaries, volunteers, and supporters, measuring quality and monitoring and evaluation of impact in action rather than quantity focus, integrity and commitment of Mavi Kalem, at all levels to organization's policies in regards to work ethics, preceding women and girls, and children protection, non-discriminatory approach, preservation of confidentiality and respect for dignity, transparency and accountability, anti-fraud and corruption. Since its foundation Mavi Kalem has been working with international donors and experienced in project budget management, and reporting accordingly. Mavi Kalem's administrative and financial system and its management are executed as per Turkey's finance law and associations' law and regulations. Grant agreements, contracts and partnership agreements are also reflected in its implementation and management. Annually Mavi Kalem goes through financial and administrative auditing of relevant governmental body and also independent financial auditing. Mavi Kalem prioritizes gender equality in the implementation and decision making steps of projects and decides and acts with accountability, transparency, participation and approaches differences equal as principal. Mavi Kalem, being a non-profit civil society organization for which 97% of employees are women, applies positive discrimination to women when recruiting, selecting and determining beneficiaries and target groups to promote gender equality. To eliminate social discrimination during stages of project content, project design and project implementation, working with women is prioritized in determination of the project team and selection of financial experts procured from the affiliated participant organization. In addition to being sensitive to gender discrimination in works and studies, Mavi Kalem acts responsibly and is in favor of vulnerable groups avoiding discirimination based on ethnicity, political views, religious beliefs, sexual identity and race in terms of target groups, beneficiaries and employees. Mavi Kalem does not define itself in politic, religious or ethnical personalities.
