Our purpose is to train and inspire biblical leadership for the 21st century church, community and the world for the gospel of grace.

We are a volunteer group drawn from all walks of life, devoted to the preservation and advancement of the Aviary and the care and breeding of its birds. Since our start in 1992 we have gone on to become a registered charity in 2000.

Established in 1971 as the Greater Vancouver Artist’s Gallery, through federal employment programs for artists, the Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) was incorporated as a non-profit charitable society in 1976. From 1971 to 1978, artists were hired for six month periods to produce art for exhibition which was then accessioned into the City of Vancouver Art Collection. In 1984 the CAG became an artist-run centre, widely recognized for providing initial solo exhibitions for many of Vancouver’s now well-known artists, in 1996 becoming an independent public art gallery, now recognized as key to the cultural provision of Vancouver and as a major advocate for the artistic brand of the city nationally and internationally. In May 2001, the CAG moved to a new purpose-built facility under the aegis of the City of Vancouver’s Amenity Bonus program in cooperation with Bosa Ventures Inc.

The Rivershed Society of British Columbia (RSBC) was formed in 1996, in the wake of Fin Donnelly’s first 1,400 kilometre Fraser River swim. For the past decade, the RSBC has been delivering educational and leadership programs, creating public awareness, building stewardship capacity, and promoting sustainable solutions throughout BC’s riversheds. Healthy riversheds are key to sustainability, but human activity is the major factor contributing to the loss of biodiversity within these ecosystems. With over four million people now living in B.C.’s riversheds, resources are being extracted, exported and consumed faster than they are being replenished. This is why we need to educate emergent leaders, so that they too can make a difference and have access to sustainable choices in order to contribute to maintaining rivershed biodiversity.

Decades of international work has helped us define how to successfully carry-through with a project, from inception to completion. We use a ‘Champion’ system whereby a member of the Kitchener-Conestoga Rotary Club must personally represent a cause if it’s going to be considered at the International Aid Fund. This ensures that each project is managed in close alignment with the principles of Rotary. We apply a rigorous application process and work in-step with partners on the ground before a project is approved, and report throughly on a fixed-term timeline using measurable milestones. We take what we do seriously because so much is at stake for those in need of our support.

With roots that date back to 1936 when Nanaimo’s first vocational training school opened its doors, Vancouver Island University (VIU) shares a rich history and connectedness with its communities. VIU has evolved into a dynamic, internationally known university supporting a student population in excess of 18,000 full-and part-time learners, including 1100 international students, over 1500 aboriginal students, and employing over 2,000 faculty and staff. VIU operates four campuses including a main campus in Nanaimo and regional campuses in Duncan, Powell River and Parksville•Qualicum. VIU is also the proud owner of Milner Gardens and Woodlands in Qualicum Beach, recently named one of the top 10 public gardens in Canada. Offering programs from basic literacy to vocational programs, trades, undergraduate and graduate degrees, VIU encourages all students to explore their potential, discover more about their world and excel in both life and learning.

Everett Koeller founded the Charitable Foundation of the Family in 1989 as an avenue to perform grass roots work in our community. His objective remains today as we strive to maximize donors’ contributions to helping those in need of our help. Over the years the Charitable Foundation of the Family has been able to focus its charitable giving to helping those that were not being helped by other community resources. The foundation is committed to maintaining flexible funding criteria to fill the gaps left by other welfare organizations that have understandably more specific program criteria. Our objective is to assist based on a real need and not on on specific criteria. Our supporters are made up of family, friends, business associates and those that believe in the work we are doing.

(2) The Royal Canadian Air Force Association Trust was established in 1975 under the authority of Association By-Law 7(g)(iii) after endorsement, as a Silver Anniversary project at the 1973 Annual General Meeting of the Association (NEC 52-13). (3) The Trust is a subsidiary of the Air Force Association of Canada, created in accordance with the Trust Agreement, included at Annex A, responsible for raising and distributing funds at the National level for the Association charitable and heritage programs. (4) The Trust is a registered charitable organization.

Les amis de la montagne is a registered, charitable organization, founded in 1986 in Montreal, Quebec. Four strategic orientations guide Les amis’ activities to realize its mission to be: 1. A unifying force for Mount Royal, responsive to the community’s interests; 2. The reference organization for education about and interpretation of difference aspects of Mount Royal; 3. A lead player in the conservation of the historic and natural heritage of Mount Royal; 4. A primary actor in the enhancement of Mount Royal and in the development of services and programs that respond to community needs while respecting the objectives of protecting the mountain.

Our program is dedicated to respecting and responding to the individual needs of the child. The environment and adults will provide children with a variety of opportunities to learn through their play and interactions. Each child grows and develops at different rates and styles of learning; therefore, our program is based on the observed needs, cultural differences and uniqueness of each child with the support of parents and community. Our program recognizes that families and parents are the primary caregivers in each child’s life and is committed to respecting the values and opinions of parents, while ensuring the child’s emotional, physical, social, creative and intellectual developmental needs are met.
