School Garden Project helps Lane County schools create, sustain, and use onsite gardens by providing resources, professional consultation, and educational programming. We are committed to a future in which school garden education helps children become healthy adults who eat their fruits and vegetables, know the basics of growing food, and contribute to a thriving community.

Mission: The purposes of the Blackbird Foundation, formerly known as 'Alik'alak'wa'ishe, are to create and operate a Chumash Indian religious, educational and cultural center and to enable children to learn traditional, academic, environmental and culturally relevant subjects and to raise and provide funds for the support of, and to carry on, the forgoing and other charitable activities. Transition to Organics is a program of the Blackbird Foundation. Creative Materials & Resources By The Pound The St. Louis Teachers’ Recycle Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping creative materials and reusable resources out of landfills and putting them in the hands of children, teachers, artists and others for creative and intellectual development. Our mission is to awaken people to their creative potential through cooperative effort, while promoting an ethic of conservation and reuse of valuable reusable resources.
