Our association is honored to serve as stewards and promoters of the Superior Hiking Trail, a 300-mile trail alongside Lake Superior in northern Minnesota. The SHT is a resource for everyone, where individuals discover, learn and connect with nature, themselves and each other.

The association works to protect and maintain Lake Nuangola’s water quality and shoreline environment while supporting community amenities and events. To make the body of water know as Lake Leelanau a better place to live.  To establish on-going programs to promote and protect the best interest and uses of riparian owners, boaters, fisherman, bathers and all other parties who have access to this body of water.  In doing so, the Association will review and respond to all issues relating to the protection and preservation of the Lake Leelanau environment, the surrounding land and water, including issues regarding safety, and recreational enjoyment of the lake.  In addition, the Association will address issues related to governmental regulation and taxation, and will review all property development proposals to determine what impact the projects could have on the riparian owners and users of Lake Leelanau.

YUKON HISTORICAL & MUSEUMS ASSOCIATION

The Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) was established in 1977 by a group of concerned and passionate individuals wishing to create a united voice that could lend its hand to museums and historical societies around the Yukon. YHMA was designed to be a place for information exchange and as a united body that could speak for Yukon heritage when needed. The objectives of the association are to promote an appreciation of Yukon’s history and culture; to support the efforts of individuals and groups which are interested in preserving and furthering the knowledge of Yukon’s history and culture; to advance the education of Yukoners in matters pertaining to their history, culture and heritage and, pursuant to this, to improve, wherever possible, the levels of training of persons who work in settings with which this Society is concerned; to advocate on behalf of Yukon museums and historical societies and assist them in the realization of their goals and objectives.

For over 60 years the Thorndike Pond Conservation Association has worked to protect the water and shoreline of our beautiful 265-acre pond, pictured above. Thorndike Pond lies just east of Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire, spanning the Towns of Jaffrey and Dublin. Members of the TPCA include shoreline residents and friends of Thorndike Pond.
