Primary exempt purpose to improve, conserve and preserve White Lake. The ultimate goal is to create and maintain a lake management district.First accomplishment maintenance of White Lake is done yearly with grooming the lake by cutting of overgrown lake weeds which provides a healthier and more natural habitat for the fish and other animals whose life depends on White Lake for survival. Keeping the lake groomed not only provides for a healthier crop of wild rice growth it also allows anglers to enjoy the lake.

Their mission is to operate and maintain the dam, water quality, and navigational safety of Bauneg Beg Lake

PERFORM EDUCATION SERVICE AND PROGRAMS RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH RELATING TO SOUND CONSERVATION OF GAME AND SPORT FISHING, PARTICULARLY THE WALLEYE, IN LAKE ST CLAIR AND ADJACENT WATERS.

MBARA is an all‑volunteer 501(c)(3) that builds and deploys artificial reefs off Mexico Beach to restore and enhance marine habitat and fisheries, conduct reef design and biomass research, and educate the public (they also offer memorial‑reef options).
