In 2005 a small group of Manitobans recognized a need that was not being addressed by the health care system and decided to do something about it. Helping Hands for Manitobans with Breast Cancer receives requests from Manitobans for prescriptions, special garments, transportation, accommodations, meals, childcare, wigs and rehabilitation program. We are a completely volunteer based charity with no paid positions. Help us help Manitobans with breast cancer.

OPACC was established in 1995 and is comprised of representatives from parent groups, parent contacts, and other family members from across the province. Our members are parents, guardians, survivors, or close relatives of a child/teen diagnosed with childhood cancer. We have been a Registered Charity since 2006. OPACC has collaborated on behalf of our children/teens and our families with appropriate regional, provincial and national bodies such as POGO, Childhood Cancer Foundation – Candlelighters Canada (CCF) and the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) Ontario Division. Our Parent Liaison, Susan, meets with parents and families at Sick Kids and helps to address fears or concerns that they may have. She provides information on hospital services, community-based Parent Support Groups, parent drop-ins, liaison visits, and co-facilitated Parent Support Groups at the hospital.

We put fun on the calendars of women and families living with breast cancer by sending them on special vacations, relaxing spa days, dinners out, concerts and other fun-only activities.

Since 1951 the government and people of Israel have looked to AKIM to provide care, advocacy, support and education to children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their families. AKIM works in all corners of Israel and is the largest provider of programs and services for people with an intellectual disability and their families. Since 1962, Canadian Friends of AKIM – Promoting the Inclusion of Israeli Children and Adults with Intellectual Disabilities, has operated projects in Israel for the benefit of more than 35,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry's Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children Foundation supports community-based initiatives providing Dental Homes to children from families that cannot afford dental care.

The Cerebral Palsy Association of BC is charitable organization that provides programs and services to over 10,000 people living with CP province wide, as well as thousands more affected by CP including families, caregivers, professionals, and the community. Our vision is to see those with CP and other disabilities live a Life Without Limits. Through our programs, we are committed to enriching and supporting the lives of children, adults, and seniors with Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. The Parkinson Association of Central Florida is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all people impacted by Parkinson’s disease through research, education, fundraising, and outreach.

Founded by Sam Sullivan in 1988, the Disabled Sailing Association of British Columbia (DSA) strives to increase the level of independence, motivation and quality of life for people with significant physical disabilities through the sport of sailing. DSA's operations are based out of the Jericho Sailing Centre on English Bay in Vancouver and operate annually from June through August. Our core program is designed to accommodate a range of disabilities and sailing skill levels. With the Sip 'n' Puff autohelm control system and the specially designed Martin 16 sailboat at the centre of our activities, even high quadriplegics -- those with little or no movement below the neck -- can sail independently and in complete safety. DSA is run by a highly trained and competent team of staff members and volunteers. We provide opportunities for recreational and competitive sailing as well as instruction for first-time, or novice, sailors.

Jamaica Awareness Association of California focuses on assisting people in need, both nationally and internationally. JAAC works with the community at large providing health an education services while promoting awareness to the underserved communities.
