The Halifax Sexual Health Centre believes that healthy sexuality is positive and life-affirming for all people at all stages of life. Sexual health is a vital component of personal health determined by the social and economic environment, the physical environment, personal knowledge and available capacities and health services. Everyone has the right to have complete, freely-accessible, non-judgmental information about sexual and reproductive health. Equally important, everyone has the right to make informed personal choices about their sexual and reproductive health, free from the imposition of external authorities. The Halifax Sexual Health Centre is an organization that is pro-choice; inclusive and respectful of diversity; youth-positive; gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered positive; focused on the needs of our clients and community; and respectful of client confidentiality.

The Alex Community Health Centre

The Alex is a not-for-profit organization that has been in existence since 1973. The Alex provides services and programs to individuals and families who experience barriers to health. Using a multidisciplinary team approach, we focus care on assessment, intervention and promotion of all aspects of health. We embrace a model of healthcare that is accessible, responsive and participatory. The Alex has grown to now include 6 major programs at 3 different locations. Services and programs are provided at the Family Health Centre, the Seniors' Health Centre, the Community Health Bus, Pathways to Housing, the Youth Health Centre and HomeBase. The Moose Jaw Health Foundation is a non-profit organization managed by a volunteer board of directors. The challenge of raising funds to aid in the establishment and enhancement of health care at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital was accepted in 1986. Since that time millions of dollars have been raised to enhance the Moose Jaw Union Hosptial and maintain a healthy community. The health of our friends and our families depends on the contributions received and distributed by the Moose Jaw Health Foundation each year. The donations you give so generously will enhance the medical equipment in our hospital, or provide for the programs and services that contribute to the health and well being of our families and our friends in Moose Jaw and Southern Saskatchewan.
