The Barth Syndrome Foundation of Canada is a purely volunteer chartiable organization that works on behalf of Canadians affected by this rare metabolic condition. The goals of this organization are: To raise awareness of Barth syndrome so that doctors are testing for it and children are accurately diagnosed. Historically, boys died of heart failure or infection by 3 years of age, but with improved diagnosis and appropriate medical treatment and monitoring of all symptoms, the survival rate and future of these individuals is much brighter. Shalom Counselling Centre serves children, individuals, couples and families. regardless of age, gender, religion, or background. Services are offered on a sliding fee scale, based on household income, making them affordable. Community donations make up the difference of the actual cost of providing services. For as little as $35 per month ($400 per year) you can help families rebuild and restore their lives.
Society members have the opportunity to share in the work of the society and it’s vision by assisting with fundraising, being an advocate for it’s work, and taking an active role in decision making. Children's Autism Services of Edmonton is currently raising funds to build Edmonton's first and only stand alone community treatment centre for children with autism. This centre will allow us to provide individual and group treatment services, on site respite, family support and training, resource lending and library services, clinical research, and many other services. With your help we can build a legacy of hope and support for hundreds, if not thousands of Edmonton’s most vulnerable children. A generation of families will remember this treatment centre as the place where they found hope and their children made important leaps forward. This centre will change the lives of children with special needs and the landscape of services in Edmonton forever.

We opened our doors in April 2009 and we are the first full service food bank in the Yukon. We are distributing 500 food hampers on a monthly basis. This means we are assisting over 1300 people monthly, over 1/3 of them are children.

Sunrise of Life (Sol) is a Registered Charity in Canada. Sunrise of Life has two centres in Tanzania, a residential centre for former street children and a transition home for those youth who have gone through secondary school and are going on to further education. Soon Sunrise of Life hopes to open a drop-in centre for those children who struggle to live on the streets of Arusha within the next year.

The Alzheimer Society Of Saskatchewan is dedicated to helping those affected by Alzheimer's disease through awareness, advocacy, education and support services. Our programs include groups for individuals with early memory loss, information and support groups for caregivers, a lending library, information and referral services, Safely Home - the Alzheimer Wandering Registry and education services for families, professionals, children and the general public.
