Family Rescue is dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in the Chicago community by providing comprehensive support services and shelter to victims of domestic violence, particularly to abused women and their children; engaging in advocacy to promote future system change; and encouraging prevention through community education.

We will work toward the elimination of domestic violence and provide emergency and support services for survivors of domestic violence.For over 37 years, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Inc. (DVSS) has advanced its work to prevent domestic violence and provide support services for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services are available twenty four hours a day. Our primary service area is New Hanover County. (Other areas are served as needed.)

Vision: to set the standard for providing quality, effective, evidence-based programs for the prevention, education and treatment of child abuse and neglect. By creating a community response to child abuse and neglect through a system collaboration, we will address abuse in a more enlightened, efficient, and effective manner.
