Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach out to at-risk homeless youth living on the streets and offer them hope and opportunities to turn their lives around. We help abused or neglected youth who have nowhere else to go. A large number have been thrown out of their homes while others have aged out or left the foster care system with no family, no support, and no one to turn to. Since 1988, CHC has impacted the lives of more than 160,000 homeless youth out of our Los Angeles and Bay Area locations. More than 80% of our funding comes from private donations.

As cancer survivors, we embrace the moment and show the world that there can be a purposeful life after a cancer diagnoses. PINK PHURREE (pronounced "fury"), Texas' first all women and cancer survivor dragon Boat Team, was founded by Frances Arzu' in 2007. PINK PHURREE, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is an unconventional cancer support group where dragon boat paddling is used to promote active survivorship both on and off the water. As members of the International Breast Cancer Survivor Paddler Commission, we are a breast cancer survivor team. Even so, we do encourage survivors that have been diagnosed with other types of cancer to join our crew as well. As Pink Phurree embraces new survivors, the journey continues to expand our ability to touch and enrich many lives. No experience or athletic ability required!

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problem: cleft lip and palate. Millions of children in developing countries with unrepaired clefts live in shame, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing and speaking. Cleft repair surgery is simple, and the transformation is immediate. Our sustainable model provides training and funding to empower local doctors in 85+ developing countries to provide 100%-free cleft repair surgery in their communities. We use the “teach a man to fish” model focusing on training local doctors to perform cleft repairs in their communities. Those doctors then go on to train other doctors creating a long-term, sustainable system. Patients see their smile for the first time, parents cry tears of joy, lives and communities are changed forever. As a result of our efficiency and with the support of our donors and partners around the world, Smile Train has transformed the lives of more than one million children by giving them the power of a smile -- that's roughly 350 surgeries a day and 128,000+ every year.  

The mission of the Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights is to promote the best interests of unaccompanied immigrant children with due regard to the child's expressed wishes, according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child and state and federal law. The Young Center is a champion for the best interests of children who arrive in the United States on their own, from all corners of the world. We serve as trusted allies for these children by accompanying them through court proceedings, advocating for their best interests, and standing for the creation of a dedicated juvenile immigrant justice system that ensures the safety and well-being of every child.

We believe that proper hygiene is a basic human right that should be available to everyone, regardless of their circumstances. Unfortunately, many people don't have regular access to essential hygiene products or can't afford them, which can have a significant impact on their self-esteem and overall health. At CareBag Inc., we are committed to helping those who are struggling with hygiene insecurity. Our mission is to provide school-aged children and young adults in need with essential hygiene products to support their health, boost their confidence, and improve their hygiene education. We understand that it's challenging for some individuals to get the items they need to feel clean and healthy, which is why we have two mobile shower units and a mobile hygiene pantry to help meet their needs. Our vision for the future is that everyone living in the US has access to essential hygiene products to feel their best and live their lives to the fullest. ADABI's mission is to prevent, advocate, counsel, and protect victims and families of domestic violence. The community-based non-profit provides domestic violence and sexual assault crisis intervention programs headquartered in Chinle, Arizona, in the Navajo Nation.

Teddy Bears with Heart collects and gifts new stuffed animals to first responders, hospitals and agencies that work with children, the elderly and other people in need of comfort. Their local den (founded by Susan Hanson) operates as part of Good Bears of the World to distribute bears to people in crisis and partner agencies.

Union Rescue Mission is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring the lives of the homeless and poor in Los Angeles by seeking to empower them to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient.
