The mission of JASSW is to promote mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of Japan and Washington State by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information. JASSW was founded on July 24, 1923 by leaders from Seattle’s business, academic, and diplomatic communities. Except for a brief period during World War II, our organization has remained active in fostering Japan-Washington State trade, business, and cultural activities and maintains a close relationship with key government and private organizations, such as the Consulate-General of Japan and the Japan Business Association of Seattle. Today, we maintain a diverse membership of Japanese and American corporations and individuals from throughout the state and provide varied programs that build positive U.S.-Japan relations. The Society is one of 38 independent members of the National Association of Japan-America Societies. Until the 1980’s, JASSW was run entirely by volunteers; today, our staff consists of four full-time professionals and our Board of Directors is headed by an annually elected Chair and composed of local and state leaders in business, government, education, and the arts.

Refugee Support Services is a post-resettlement, human services organization that supports refugees, former refugees, asylees, special immigrants, humanitarian parolees, their respective families, and the greater Charlotte community. The mission of Refugee Support Services is to facilitate programs and intercultural relationships that promote individual autonomy, cultivate social capital, and enrich our community.

Hoina strives to - PROVIDE FOR DESTITUTE, ORPHANED, AND HANDICAPPED CHILDREN IN SOUTH INDIA WITHOUT REGARD TO CASTE, CREED, RACE, OR RELIGION BY PROVIDING A LOVING FAMILY ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPING OUR CHILDREN INTO SUCCESSFUL, PRODUCTIVE, AND RESPONSIBLE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.

In 1973 as a result of the need for profound changes in mental health services the Alliance was incorporated in Los Angeles as the Coalition of Spanish Speaking Mental Health Organizations (COSSMHO). Since then the organization has grown and expanded to reflect the changing needs of the people and communities served. Today, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health is the premier science-based and community-driven organization that focuses on the best health for all. Community-based members provide services to more than 15 million Hispanics throughout the U.S. every year and national organization members provide services to more than 100 million people annually.

W/NP is a progressive and viable humanitarian service organization actively implementing programs in both Wisconsin and Nicaragua. W/NP's goals are to promote mutual understanding and establish lasting relationships among citizens and institutions of Wisconsin and Nicaragua; foster volunteerism and self-help attitudes through the implementation of economic and social development projects; leverage development assistance funds from public and private sources.

We empower socially and economically oppressed members of greater Los Angeles by equipping them with tools to overcome job insecurity, food insecurity, and houselessness. In doing so, we enable our community not simply to survive, but to thrive: to regain their footing with full-time jobs, steady income, and the self-confidence needed to maintain and build on these accomplishments.
